HIGH LIGHT!
Aly Keita
and The Magic Balafon
Featuring:
Ramani KrishnaBass
Marcel Van Cleef-Schlagzeug
Hannes Kies-Saxophone

AN EVENING OF STORIES, PERSONAL REFLECTIONS AND MUSIC RELATED AND PLAYED BY
Reggie Moore Featuring Michael Kersting-drums & Ray Blue-Sax

Reggie Moore's musical career, which spans more than four decades, was marked by many artistic milestones: leading his own trio, he toured Japan, the United States and Europe and recorded two albums for Mainstream Records; he worked with such renowned jazz greats as Johnny Hartman, Betty Carter, Anita O'Day, Harry "Sweets" Edison, Gary Bartz, Woody Shaw, Sammy Davis Jr., Benny Golson and Kenny Burrell - to name just a few.

Along with vocalist Joe Lee Wilson and following in the footsteps of Dizzie Gillespie, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington, Reggie had the honor of being an official Jazz Ambassador for the U.S. State Department. In 2008, the ICD was proud to announce Reggie Moore as the first ever recipient of the ICD Cultural Ambassador Award.

His unique art, which Reggie himself calls "Communicable Music", and his dedicated teaching at the Jazz Institute Berlin have been impacting the German jazz scene for the last 24 years.

"He's well known in Berlin and needs to have a little more recognition for his accomplishments. He's recently performed for the BLACK HISTORY Celebration 2009 in AMERIKA HAUS organized by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy & Clear Blue Water e.V. He also performed with Jocelyn B. Smith in the Quasimodo and in the Yorckschlösschen for the closing day of Black History Month 2009.
He is an instructor and the Jazz Institute of Berlin."

"Reggie Moore a fine pianist!"
Corbett Santana 2009
